A while ago I decided to go for some pictures with sunrise. One thing i had in mind was “Het Vinn” at Zoutleeuw. That being said i produced a casting call on my facebook wall, with three requirements for the models.
* Not afraid in the dark
* Not afraid of the cold
* Not having problems getting up early
Ok, once i got the lovely Mandy to join me with the experiment, i’ve needed one more thing, and that’s a good assistant. Since we were shooting in some sort of lake, we needed somebody to guard the equipment. Assistant for the shoot was Lander Vanhoof also a photographer.
During the shoot we noticed that sunrise happens way too fast.
The gear we used was one Jinbei M-400 with a gridded beautydish, Powerpack, Nikon D700, Nikon 24-70mm f4.28 and Nikon 70-200mm f2.8. And off course one ND filter, with 3 stops, to make sure we were able to capture the lovely orange and blue in the sky during sunrise.
